New York

Hi! This is Emily. I'm going to tell you ALL about my trip to New York! It was so fun, and what you will read is edited from the journal that I wrote in(the original is too personal).

11:20-11:40 CA April 1 on the plane

I'm on the plane and there are millions of clouds under me. I am on United Economy Plus and I think I just saw a "cirrus" cloud. There's another cirrus cloud! I am taking pictures & alternating with writing. I am going to read Secrets, Lies, and Algebra in a moment. Low-altitude cloud! Okay I will go take some more pictures and read now. Actually there is not much else to take a picture of. My mom is doing something on her net book and my dad is either sleeping or watching "The Office". Today I'm wearing a pinkish long-sleeved shirt and blue pants with pink stripes on the side. My jacket is my blue North Face one, and I'm wearing my new sandals that are a tiny bit too big for me. Oh, and my blue-framed glasses. Ooh! There are some mountains with snow! Also, my hair is up in a ponytail. Huge lake! OK!!! I.Will.Go.Read.Now.

7:53 NY in the car

I am sitting on my mom's friend's car. We are going to our hotel in Brooklyn. It is dark now, and I wonder where we'll eat for dinner. It's cold here! A plane is taking off, I can't believe we're here, and we are stuck in traffic. Later!

11:48 NY in the room

We just came back from a walk and dinner. We had dinner at Morton's Steakhouse. I had a rib-eye steak that I shared with my mom. My dad had a New York Steak and iced tea. I had a Shirley Temple amd my mom drank hot water. I don't really feel tired even though it is...11:54 here because in CA, it would only be 9:54. In our hotel room there is an LG TV, 2 double beds, a safe, icebox, ect. The view is a courthouse across the street. I think that is too "formal". Our room number is 1005 in the South Wing. Did I ever mention that staying at the Marriott Hotel in Brooklyn? I'm gonna rest a bit now. It's been a long day. See you tomorroww.

We are finally, finally, in New York

At the airport today I ate some yummy grilled pork

The view from our room could surely be better

All we can see is an old-looking courthouse

This is very random. I wonder who likes cheddar

Maybe that small and big mouse!

note-This poem is NOT the best I can do . (I didn't have enough time)

PS I have to go now. Bye!

Wow I didn't write for a while...anyway, I will give a very brief summary of what happened . We visited Rockefeller Center, Chinatown, 5th Av. Canal St., the Subway.,United Nations, the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Empire State Building, Central Park, passed Little Italy, Wall St., Ground Zero, the PLaza Hotel. Tomorrow we will visit the famous Brokly Bridge, uptown pass the Metropolitan Museum, Harlem, and that's about it. I also had dinner with our friends the Tang family. We just came back from a Broadway musical- "Mary Poppins". It was really good! We sat on the "balcony", but we still got a pretty good view. Gotta go!

And that was where I apparently stopped writing so I will stop typing too. Thanks for reading!
